Camping 2009

We started this year off with a trip to Charleston, SC. It wasn't very warm but it was wonderful to see flowers in bloom in February. Between the seafood and the bbq we all came home a bit heavier- as usual.

Next was a trip to Gettysburg, PA. for the week of 4th of July- also the anniversary of the battle. Our 19 year old son, Matt, was in heaven. He spent each day on the battlefield expect one- when we took a trip to Antietam battlefield in Maryland.

We then took a quick trip to Delta Lake State Park near Rome, NY to do some kayaking and relaxing. Now that we camp with two chocolate labs, there isnt really a "relaxing" time, so to speak.

We just returned home from a week in Old Orchard Beach Maine. Our daughter Jocelyn spent her 16th birthday on the pier and the amusement park. Cabelas was a definite highlight as were all the lobster and seafood restaurants. We ate and shopped very well.

Labor Day 2009 will be spent close to home- Moreau State Park. This is our time to put the kayaks in the water and float around and celebrate the end of summer.

Fall camping this year depends on volleyball schedules, work schedules, etc. Blaise and I may just have to take the Jayco to Vermont by ourselves and let the kids hang out with the dogs for the weekend.

Hybrid TT- 3 Bunks- No Arguments!

2007 Jayco 232 with microwave, a/c, furnace, refrigerator/freezer, oven, full bathroom. 2 full size bunks and one queen size bunk make it roomy and very comfortable. It also has heated matresses for those cooler spring and fall camping nights.
